On her surprising level of popoularity. The question at the moment is exactly what has she done. Dither, delay, and make reassuring speeches to the faithful (like the bit the other day about spreading the wealth from the South-East to the rest of the country - probably a recognition that the Scots are seen as a serious problem and need to be placated somehow).
And as the economy is allegedly "buoyant" (see the FT of 13/1/2017), that might make her look good as far as her base is concerned. The base wants out of the EU, they don't want to ask too many difficult questions. Reality hasn't yet struck home. When it does then her shallowness, indecisiveness, and lack of direction may be finally exposed - though given the nature of the beast, I suspect that it will be slow to awaken.
