Stayed at Sofitel for a holiday party for my company, Intelivert. Front desk was very welcoming and helpful, the room was great. The view was sub-par but it is understandable since it is in the city and you can't choose your neighbors. After going out for dinner and a show we came back for drinks. There was about 200 people in the bar and 2 bartenders and one other support person on hand to handle everyone, which on a Saturday night during holiday party season is inexcusable. To pay as much as we did for the drinks is understandable but I expect a good level of service. That was horrible and not the first time I have had experience with understaffed at the bar. Pay for more employees. You are supposed to be a high end hotel and your service does not reflect that. It was not the people or their level of service, just a lack of people.

Front desk was very accommodating. Room was clean and a good size. Location was great right across from Grant Park and only a 10 minutes walk from the Red and Orange lines. Irish pub located in the hotel was great, too.

Was there for a benefit for the Elmwood Park Zoo. The food was not normal Normandy Farm food so I can't review that but the venue was amazing and a lot bigger than I expected and the service was great. Afterwards a few of us went to the bar down the hall and had drinks and I ate a lobster po boy which was amazing. It was a great night.

The hotel was very nice. We didn't stay at the hotel but only had dinner at Ralph's. OpenTable was used to book the table and we got there early and had a few drinks before the table was ready. The dinner was very good as well as the service.
