eBook Marketing Tools  -

Okay, so here's my one own learning about marketing tip. The non-fiction marketing ebook market is huge, and a lot of the books suggest giveaways, but that also means they DO giveaways. I've regularly started checking the free category on amazon under "business marketing." While a lot of these books are aimed at non-fiction writers, just about every weekend there's at least a couple that are relevant to books and not other sorts of marketing. I've found some interesting advice. You just have to check back about once a week and see what giveaways on marketing are happening.

I was just thinking about a couple of free days every now and then, but I guess you're probably right.

I'm doing Camp Nanowrimo this month! I'm off to a small but successful start at 913 words so far! Hoping to hit quota still tonight.

Hey! +Marva Dasef and I know each other from a writing group and she invited over over here. I'm the author of 4 books, one with Wild Child Publishing and three independently published. They are all middle grade novels for children. I was sort of figuring out marketing and then real life hit me over the head and all attempts evaporated last summer. I'd like to get back into it, so I'm excited to learn fun and successful ways to market.

I haven't done a lot of marketing. I was blogging and then I got distracted when my personal life got busy. I'd like to get back into it. Mostly I had a lot of critique group members interested when a book first comes out and they spread the word a little for me, but then things slow down.

Blogging finally today... For the first time since seeing it in the theater I re-watched The Black Cauldron. Gurgi still looked like an ewok rip-off.

Introduction
Ardyth DeBruyn is a native Oregonian with a restless nature and a degree in Anthropology. After hiking over 1500 miles across Europe and living on the Mexican border for a year, she settled back in the Pacific Northwest (for now) to write fantasy stories. She has decided she can type herself into adventures faster than walk. She has fiction published in a number of webzines and two novels: “Chosen Sister” and "A School for Villains."

A School for Villains
Thirteen-year-old Danny is astounded when his father decides to send him to Dark Lord Academy to learn to be a villain. Pa claims it will make him stand out and fulfill his own lost childhood dreams. Being evil doesn’t appeal to Danny, but he’s always been a good and obedient son, so he goes.

Dark Lord Academy’s not just unappealing, it’s downright terrible. His advisor dyes Danny’s blond hair black and changes his name to the unpronounceable Zxygrth. He can’t get the hang of maniacal laughter, his second-in-command servant is a puke-colored monkey, and the cafeteria lady enjoys serving stewed cockroaches or fried bat wings. A run in with a hero results in hate mail and he gets caught up in a rivalry with the school bully. The only way for Danny to stay alive is to find his inner villain.
