Iris
I got carried away today, there are a heap more images to process, but I rather like this one.

Always carry your camera...
Which I usually do, but today I only had my phone with me as I drove past the Fitzroy Canal on the way home.

Getting close to opening
When I agreed on this exhibition I gave little thought to the amount of work it would entail. As difficult as it was to cull a list of possible images down to a working shortlist, the intricacies of preparing files for printing, then proofing and checking and checking again took far more time than I'd ever take to process an image for posting online. However, the prints were all ready last week and on seeing them in their frames and mounts, it was clear all the work was worthwhile.
So, here's the reason I've been somewhat absent from G+ over the last few months...

Another magnolia
This flower was at more than 2.5 metres high on a large tree, so it was a case of standing on tiptoe and pointing the camera in the general direction :) I liked the shape of the flower though so it was worth taking a chance even if it's not the most elegant of images.

I processed this with a Kodachrome 64 emulation, I like the look but now I've got a Paul Simon earworm....

Sunset from Mt Gibralter - Southern Highlands
It's a windy time of year in the Highlands as you can see. :)
