If you have time I am about to roast this place so sit back, grab a cold one and enjoy the review. First of all, the leasing office is full of a bunch of mindless buffoons to be nice. They have lost our packages that were sent to the office three times now. The most recent one, my wife (the husband is typing right now) called four times within 30 minutes asking where her package was at because UPS posted that it was in the office but the office stated that they didn't have it. Come to find out they had it and it was in her maiden name, she asked them to find it in her maiden name and they still didn't find it the first time. When I went up there to retrieve the package there were two Hispanic young females working. The one I have had the worst time with was working this day and she was brushing her hair facing the wall! Yep, she's that immature that she can't even look me in my face and apologize for being a moron to be as freakin as nice as possible. We paid our rent once and we received a late notice. I went over to the office with my bank statement and they didn't even act apologetic about it. just recently we paid rent early but we put the date on our check for the 1st thinking they wouldn't be able to cash it till then... nope they cashed it that night. We have had multiple issues with the leasing office not getting to us on time with work order requests The maintenance guys here are nice but they are not that bright. We had an issue with our washing machine not finishing it's cycle. They came in at least three times to fix it. The last time they replaced our newer machine out for an older machine thinking that would work. It didn't so we had to put in a whole new work order in (for each time they had to come out by the way) and when they came out the guy said the last person just needed to turn on the hot water valve and that he forgot to. So we replaced a brand new model washing machine for an old one only because the idiots forgot to turn back on the hot water valve after replacing the cold water valve.. needless to say, don't come here. This place is better off getting nuked and replaced with a retirement facility.

I thought my landlord in college was bad, but this company has the least friendly employees that I've come across. Upon requesting information to renew my lease the woman working seemed annoyed to keep my business. Despite its prime location for my job I believe I will be sucking it up and driving further to work to find a company that appreciates my customer loyalty.

Management is unprofessional and unwilling to work with residents. Maitanence leaves a huge mess after doing any work.

Unwillingness to work with their renters when transferring to another city with same management group. They charged 300 dollars transfer fee and made a young couple stay a month and a half before they could transfer. Every other apartment community in the network allows 2 weeks notice. The husbands job was transferred and still they wouldn't work with them. This is causing undo hardship on a young couple just starting out. They don't even show the same common courtesy as the other apartments in the network. They allow their renters to move to river road with only 2 weeks notice.

Really nice for the price! Safe, clean community and cute apartments. Only thing is I wish my unit had more circulation.. It's hard to get fresh air in here so it's often stuffy

Although I have nothing but praise for the groundskeeping, the weekly cleaning they do for the shared hallways, the apartments themselves and the neighbors I've had, I must confess that I have had some unfortunate experiences with management that have made me quite unhappy in the past. They do seem quick to throw their residents under the bus and they will quickly jump to handing out warnings without any sort of checking into the situation- this generally leaves anyone who has been wrongly put in these uncomfortable circumstances with a bad taste in their mouth. That being said, so long as you don't have to interact with them much, River Road is one of the best finds in the area. You benefit from the stable surroundings, you're close to everything, the landscaping is nice, the apartments are well sized and (for the area) the best price you'll find without having to give up completely on quality.

I've only lived here for about two months now, so maybe my opinion will change within the next 10 months, but I will be sure to add it on here. I read some comments about this place after moving in, this place is not in one way shape or form ghetto. The reason I am here is because I moved into a place that was ghetto (Brighton Park) and got robbed the first week I was there. And when I say robbed, I mean everything was taken. Now that people is in the ghetto. While moving into the ghetto I once resided at for not even a month (they let me cut the lease, thank god) all the neighbors surrounding us were watching from their blinds and/or balconies. People this place is far from the ghetto, yeah you might have loud neighbors but really? You are in a frickin apartment. Buy a house if you don't want loud neighbors. And if you can't purchase a house, then sorry this is what you are stuck with. And as far as maintenance goes, I've had no problems what so ever with them. Also, the majority of the people giving it 1 star have lived here for two + years. If you don't like it, why are you signing another lease?? Sounds like you just had a two or three bad experiences (which you will get with most if not all apartments that are affordable) but it doesn't mean the overall rating should be so low. But back to the apartment and the complex. I have a one bedroom, one bath with a washer and dryer and a huge patio (I'm on the ground level). Yes I can hear sometimes the guy walking above me, but I expected that, I did choose the lower level. I wish the counter top in the bathroom was larger but for the price I'm alright with it. All in all the apartments are awesome, yeah there are cars driving around at 1 or 2 am but people work different hours, can't complain there. Sometimes on nice nights you can hear people talking outside, but why not enjoy the lovely night. If you people really think this place is ghetto go to Brighton Park and enjoy living there.
