Chef Bradford Heap and his staff have made a commitment to source local, organic and fresh ingredients whenever possible. The menu reflects this mind-set, simple, yet elegant and delicious. The wines, while sourced all over the world offer our guests some classic profiles, while introducing them to some new and exciting choices as well as a pre-prohibition cocktails with a twist.

I went here around noon on a Saturday. The food that I ordered (tomato soup and salad, corned beef and hash) was great, but the service was sort of a mess. The waiter apparently didn't notice I was there (I'm a quiet person, but c'mon); even after I told the guy refilling my water that I was ready to order, it was still another five minutes or so before I was able to. The soup and salad came out quickly but it was another twenty or thirty minutes for the hash. The restaurant wasn't empty, but it didn't seem slammed either. I suspect that I was just unlucky, and the food was good enough that I'd still like to come back for dinner, but at the same time, this was a bummer.

Very frustrated and disappointed this week. Salt Happy Hour was a favorite of ours through all of 2013. We had friends travel in from out of state for a day and were really excited to grab drinks and snacks at SALT but... They changed their menu recently. the new one is not interesting at all. So uninspired and underwhelming. Where's the casoulet and polenta? You can get sliders anywhere and the charcuterie was a complete disappointment. To top it off, our service was slow and they forgot several items. At the end of happy hour, just a couple minutes after serving our last round, the server actually asked us to leave to make room for dinner service. we're not going back. -stone

Dealing with Rachel was one of the worst customer service experiences we have ever had. Not only did she mess up the dinner menu for our special even but at the last minute changed the wines on us and the desserts. Never will go back.

Warm atmosphere with plenty of exposed brick and reclaimed wood. The service was excellent; can't think of anything I would improve. The food was delicious and arrived in a timely fashion even with a packed restaurant. The price isn't cheap but I will definitely return to Salt.

Food is often good, but the service is often not so good. My mom ordered a glass of wine and it was never delivered, my mom tried to call the waitress over but she didn't respond, this happens often. You also have to wait along time for the check

This is an excellent example of what Boulder offers a 'localvor' who wants 'foodie' quality when they eat out. So much of the menu is locally sourced and changes with the season. The quality is excellent with most dishes knocking your socks off. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because I was hoping for more from my pork chop last time we went. Unfortunately it was more fatty than my taste appreciates. However, it was exceptional overall. It was outstanding that they pared my pork chop with a grilled peach! That was a nice combo. Another thing to note is how good their mixed drinks are. Rather then 'going it alone' ask your server to navigate their 'make your own' drink menu. Also ask the server about their oak barrel aged Manhattans! I don't think I will ever order anything else now that I've tasted this new twist on an old favorite!

Expert service, decor, and food. The establishment practices a professional 5 star level of service; food preparation, presentation, and knowledge, and proper sanitation. The restaurant feels modern. The food is local, organic, and from sustainable sources. The chef and cooks alike, know how to develop flavors and expertly pair ingredients. I definitely recommend trying SALT if you have the chance.

OMG the best doughnuts ever. We heard about them and finally made it to Salt for brunch on Sunday and it was completely sublime. We started with dessert (of course, who doesn't) and ate the warm, tender and light doughnuts in a flash. Our coffee arrived late due to a back up at the espresso bar which is the only reason service got a "Very Good". Then we split the green chile dish which was completely succulent and ordered a side of the polenta which was so delicious with the crispy crust and creamy on the inside. With food like this, you do not have to overeat to feel fed. It is so satisfying. We'll be back.
