Did you see that Britain is running buses fueled by human waste? Years ago, I postulated feces-fuels in I Left My Brains in San Francisco. (I would say, "And the laughed," but of course, that's exactly what I was going for.) Check out "I Left My Brains in San Francisco" for the most fun with zombies and crap-based fuel you'll ever have. http://www.amazon.com/Neeta-Lyffe-Left-Brains-…/…/1615727655

My daughter is trying to earn some money for the finer things in life…like food and shelter. She’s studying to be a concept artist and is taking commissions. If any of you would like to have your character sketched and a digital copy sent to you, check out her work: http://lenkitten.deviantart.com/journal/Commissions-Open-New-Prices-Examples-463313456

For some reason an illustration that is not hers shows up in the preview. Here is something she did: http://th05.deviantart.net/fs71/PRE/i/2013/289/8/b/ariewen_by_lenkitten-d6qr8o4.png

Do you hear what I hear? It's Neeta Lyffe: Zombie Exterminator, coming to you in AUDIOBOOK! I'm so stoked. Signed the contract today. It will be done by Becky Parker Geist of ProAudio Voices and she's won some awards for her audiowork. Excited! http://zombiedeathextreme.com

In my new job, I have to write articles about some dry stuff.  This time, it’s Voice Over Internet Protocols, so I thought I’d do an article on how VoIP helped couples and families stay close during military deployments or long-distance relationships.  I’m looking for separations of 6 months or more, rather than short times apart.

If you’d be willing to answer a couple of questions and share your story, I’d really appreciate it.  We can do it via e-mail or over the phone (15 minutes, tops.)  I’m looking for a couple of touching stories and maybe some practical advice.

PM me if you can help. Thanks.

Who wants to get super philosophical right now? This is kind of our motto.

Doing some market research for work. How many of you would be interested in a review site of book publicists? How many of you might actually hire a publicist if you had good information on where to find one? (I'm asking this in multiple areas, so please only reply once.)

Re reading the part of the wedding story I've written so i can get in the groove this weekend. I may have had a little too much fun...

“Who’s sober in this group?” Sachiko demanded. Rique raised his hand partway, but from behind the crowd, Gary said, “That’d be me, honey.”

They parted to let him through. His high-heeled sandals clacked on the tile. The gold sequins matched the eye shadow and glitter spray in his hair.

Sachiko’s mouth opened and shut, but nothing came out. Helplessly, she waved her hands, palms up, at him. What other madness had the night brought?

He hitched the blanket a little more tightly around his neck. It only came to mid-thigh; the fishnet stockings were all that kept his legs warm. “I jumped out of the cake, okay? It was all perfectly innocent.”

“Innocent?” Carl snorted. “You offered him a lap dance!”

“He refused!”

Get ready! The Catholic Writers Conference Online’s registration ends Feb 7.

This is a completely free, completely online conference held in chat and forums. As always, we'll cover the gamut of writing and faith topics, from idea to marketing, practical tips to discussions on faith, fiction and nonfiction. We're hoping to have regular prayer times, publishers from the Catholic and secular realms, and time for fun.
So far, we have 130 participants and 35 + presentations. Are you one of them? If not, you have until Feb 7 to register. Go to http://catholicwritersconference.com and follow the directions on the page. We’ve already confirmed everyone who has registered in 2013, so if you did not get an e-mail confirmation, let me know and include your username.
Calendar:
March 10-16 Chats
March 16: 8 pm-11 pm Eastern: St. Patty's Day chat party!
March 15-21 Forums
March 17-21 Pitch Sessions (at publisher's discretion)
Non-Catholics are welcome as long as they respect our beliefs and the Catholic nature of the conference.
