Xerocraft will host the Second Annual Tucson Cover Band Show!

Twelve local groups will perform their favorite pop songs! This was a very popular down-low concert last year and it has the potential to become the next big thing in Tucson along the lines of The Cardboard Ball!

This is a free concert but donations to KMKR Radio are appreciated! Beer, drinks and food will be served.

Confirmed acts include The Shangri-Las, Saves The Day, The Weeknd, Grimes, The Flaming Lips, Willie Nelson, Stoic Abandon (Fleetwood Mac), Regina of the Spektacle (Regina Spektor), Jethro Tull, Cookie Cat (various), The She Bops (various), Dark Harvest (Neil Young) and David Bowie.

KMKR Radio's next live music benefit returns this Saturday with performances from Jeff Grubic's Haboob, Dimitri Manos's Krab Legz and The Night Collectors!

KMKR is going classical this Friday night! Tucson Classical Outreach is bringing a wind quintets from the Phoenix area to perform live: The Driftwood Quintet, with special guest The Fred Fox Graduate Wind Quintet.

Friday's concert is the kickoff of KMKR's Fall Party Series, a monthly event of southern Arizona music to fundraise for the creation of Tucson's newest radio station, KMKR 100.1FM. You can learn more about KMKR at xerocraft.org/kmkr.php

This month's performances will take place in the Conrad Wilde Gallery. The gallery is located just south of Xerocraft but is still in the same building.

Tucson Classical Outreach is a local organization dedicated to the creation of new opportunities for community engagement through classical music. facebook.com/tucsonclassicaloutreach

The Driftwood Quintet is a Tempe based reed quintet dedicated to expanding reed quintet repertoire and finding new audiences. facebook.com/driftwoodquintet

The Fred Fox Graduate Wind Quintet features performers selected from some of the world’s leading music schools, and they regularly perform a diverse repertoire at regional, national, and international venues. On Monday, August 17th head over to 101 West 6th St for a special one night only punk rock concert featuring En Tierra Enemiga, Rudest Priest and Weedrat.

En Tierra Enemiga is a homegrown punk band and Rudest Priest and Weedrat are from Albuquerque, NM and are currently touring together.

$5 suggested donation (Rudest Priest and Weedrat need gas money!).

Spacecase and Mumble -- Scott Kerr jams on the drum and horns with the intent to make you wiggle.

8bit Agent -- Playing with a modified old school Game Boy, 8bit Agent will rock out with retro game tunes of yesterday.

"Phill Rockman's Brief History of Game Music" What is KMKR going to sound like when it's on the air? Phill Rockman will be playing tracks to explore the art of music in video games and preview what KMKR might actually sound like!
