Sawyer County snowmobile trails are open. Woods trails still have good snow, but may be rough with warm temps. Trails out in open areas have bare spots.
Report is that all lakes are still staked and in fair condition. Please stay on staked trails as there is a lot of slush off the marked trails.

Sawyer County snowmobile trails are open and the majority are in very good condition. Being honest we are expecting rain today and we can’t guarantee how well the trails will hold up. Lake trails are reported as good as long as you stat on the staked trails. Have fund and ride safe!

Sawyer County snowmobile trail are open and it snowing as we write this report. The trails in Northern part of the county (Seeley Hills) are groomed and in good condition.
The Tuscobia trail has been groomed in the southern part of the county and the spurt trails off of the Tuscobia are open, but could use more snow.
Please stay off of lakes until they are frozen and staked. We are looking at cold weather this weekend to freeze the lakes.
Lakes that are froze and staked are; Moose Lake, Nelson Lake, Chief Lake, West side of Chippewa Flowage, Little Round Lake and Osprey Lake. Please stay on the marked trails. Several more lakes should be staked this week or the beginning of next week. We will update as we know lakes are froze and staked. Have fun and ride safe.

Sawyer County snowmobile trails are open. Trails across the lakes are not safe or ready with stakes. Most trails in the Northern part of the county, especially Seeley Hills area are very good and have been groomed. The Tuscobia trail has been groomed. Trails off of the Tuscobia in southern part of county still need some wetlands to freeze over and could use more snow. As always ride safe and have fun!

Sawyer County Snowmobile trails are open. Trails in the Northern part of the county are in very good condition, and groomers are out with a 3 to 5 inch base on most northern trails.
Please Stay away from the lake trails, non of them are frozen enough or staked. Some of the trails that cross low areas are wet and club volunteers have been packing them with their sleds.
The Tuscobia trail has snow and has been groomed but there is not a thick base. Most spur trails off the Tuscobia have minimal snow and wet lands are not froze yet.
Again please stay away from the lakes until they are frozen solid. Have a fun and safe ride!

The holiday snow has arrived! We have close to 10 inches of the white stuff in the woods and groomers will be starting in the Seeley Hills area. The lakes are not completely frozen and therefore are not staked, at this time, but the trails/routes on land have trees covered in snow which makes for a scenic ride. Colder temperatures are predicted for next few days which will help form ice and chances of snow continue to be in the forecast. Be safe and have fun.

Happy Holidays! While the trails in Sawyer County are always open and we have been receiving snow today, around 4 inches, the trails are not in real ride able conditions. The lakes still are not froze over and trails have not been staked. No groomers have been running yet at this point. Think cold and snow, and lets get ready for a fun riding season!
