Always try to acquire hats from an authentic hatter. If they don't care about the hats, they obviously don't care about those who wear them.   #superbowl2014
Super Bowl XLVIII concluded in New York City and they’re selling sports memorabilia everywhere. They’re even trying to catch people on their way out of town and selling merchandise at New York’s LaGuardia Airport. That isn’t so unsurprising, airports always sell souvenir. What is odd is that they’ve labeled the Super Bowl merchandise “Super Ball.” Which […]

Hello Hat People -
We are putting together materials in order to educate hat people with regard to the making of pith helmets. I found these pictures I took about 12 years ago. I thought the Hat People Cirlcle might enjoy.

There has been a lot of discussion, as of late, with regard to the unconventional styling of the hat worn by musician/producer, +Pharrell Williams, at the the 2014 +Grammy Awards  ceremony held this past Sunday. Mr. Williams has demonstrated the impact that hats can have on one's wardrobe - a round of applause is in order. Often we forget that our personal style is as important to the success of an outfit as is the craftsmanship and detail of the particular item being worn. While many of you may think that the hat looked a little strange or comical, one thing to consider is this... the hat came to life. The hat became a celebrity. Thank you, Pharrell.

More info on the hat at the 3:24 mark of the video below.

Yesterday I spent the day with the head man from Borsalino America.  As you hat people well know, Borsalino, the Italian hat maker, is arguably the finest in the world.  They've been around since 1857 with a great and venerable history.  He provided this video for The Village Hat Shop YT channel.  I thought my Hat Circle people might enjoy: Borsalino - Under the Hat
