Hello, I was experimenting with wifi for creating user accounts but I find that the male and female options when selected are not creating avatars with the expected gender. So if I create a default male account like Jack Bell and a default female one : Jane Flint ... and dress them appropriately according to gender ... then when I create a female avatar ... what emerges is a clone of Jack Bell. Is this a known issue? And is there a fix?

This is the slides for my OSCC 17 talk today. It starts with some theoretical considerations about content and then dives into a specific example to anchor the whole. https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1WmOHy7zX6aAMR1mIoaViCAIzYSSwxu79eXqeEkg1JQw/edit?usp=sharing

This is a little crack in the wall that separates applications in 2D from those in 3D. Let me know what you think it is. :) It is a Chrome extension, but what does it do?

Just a quick note to let people know that a long-standing Google Street View API was fixed today. This bug prevented the street view app from working for panoramas created after Dec 2015. Now based on my testing a number of times with very recent panoramas created and available on Google street maps, I see that all scenes work. So that's encouraging. #opensim #eLearning #edTech

I am sharing a user-friendly document describing our general approach for user created large scale worlds. The document about malleable linksets will be posted soon after I finish writing it :) I am keeping fingers crossed regarding a Chrome browser extension we are working on. I have high hopes for that browser extension. I view it as the crack in the wall between 2D applications and applications that are currently more suitable for 3D worlds.
