I traveled to Little Rock for a two day business conference that was held at the HI Presidential. I have stayed in HI properties before and they are usually fair to middlin' (not bad but nothing to write home about either). The HI Presidential was certainly different from that. It is a marvelous hotel for a great price. Easy to locate for an out of town traveler -- late at night with bad weather coming in. The young man (Dylan) who was staffing the desk was friendly and efficient. The facility was clean, well kept and easily navigable. My room was clean clean clean and very comfortable, the furnishings were all in good to brand new condition. In room dining was prompt, the food was very good, the prices were excellent. Did I mention that I was there during the midst of a snow storm. Restaurant dining was also prompt (virtually everyone in the hotel seemed to be in the restaurant for lunch due to the snow storm both days of the conference), well-priced and tasty. Two things I especially enjoyed about this experience -- first, every single person on staff with whom I interacted was friendly, helpful, courteous and knowledgeable; second, the decor of the public areas was unique and interesting (Presidential memorabilia representing Kennedy, Clinton, Bush (GW and GHW) and Obama eras). Had the weather been better I would have ventured out to enjoy some of the many nearby points of interest. The hotel is in the downtown area near several attractions but is also just next to a nice looking little residential neighborhood (very inviting for walk in good weather). Not only will I stay at this hotel if I find myself in Little Rock again, I might well go back to Little Rock and look around some more because this facility was so impressive. Thank you for a great stay.

Picture this...Flights canceled, its 9pm in Little Rock trying to get home to Oregon and United Airlines gives us a voucher to this Hotel. The shuttle service promptly picked us up and upon arrival and checking in the friendly attendants kindly said they did not have room for us and said the airline gave us a voucher to a hotel that they did not confirm with. Guest Services Manager Aaron Waddell did all he could, he walked us up to two rooms that were damaged by previous guests (i.e. smoking and water damage) and offered us those, but we declined as they were not good sleeping options for us. So, he personally was going to drive us back to the hotel and see if we could get new vouchers from the airline. As we were driving out of the parking lot, it dawned on him that a regular reservation's charter bus was not in the parking lot meaning they were not using their rooms. Mr. Waddell called the charter bus company and confirmed the cancellation and before long me and my team had the Presidential Suite and Executive Suite at the Holiday Inn Presidential in Little Rock ....Ker Pow! Mr. Waddell and his staff went over any beyond their jobs to accommodate and would recommend staying there if in Little Rock. Thank you for outstanding customer service!

The hotel nice, the staff was exceptionally kind, the parking was a little weird and the rooms clean.

The walls are paper thin. I could hear everything going on in the room next to me. It is in a very bad neighborhood so if you stay here don’t leave the hotel. The room I got smelled like a fresh dump. My friend staying in another room said hers smelled like cat pee. This is a very cheap hotel. They try to make it look classy with presidential memorabilia but it is not. Go somewhere else. For the same price you can get a low end room at the Peabody.

The rooms are a little out dated. The beds are comfortable. The staff is really nice. Hotel is very cleean. They still have tube TV's in all the rooms. It costs money to get a fridge and microwave. The internet is fast. The bar and food at the restaurant are a little expensive for what you get. The one bartender didn't seem too happy when I was there.
