There's been a lot of stressing over the virtue of writing/producing quickly "before the moment is lost", but I'm almost never able to produce full tracks quickly. Laying down beatz & sketches is easy, but structure & vision take me weeks. Rather than stress over it, I've resigned to juggling multiple projects across months or sometimes years. If my music ends up a little overwrought, so be it.
I spent most of late-2013 to late-2014 not producing music cuz I stressed over there being something wrong about my approach. But recently, I'm going along with the fact that I work on music 1-3 hours at a time, and making those sessions more productive/decisive.
(That said, my personal fave was written in two sittings; I just happened upon rare musical zen at the time. soundcloud.com/renzu/half-spirit?in=renzu/sets/hanafuda
