The Monumental Task Committee of New Orleans recently restored the statue of Civil Rights Leader Avery Alexander using Walnut Shell Blasting.  The statue, called "The Crusader," had been in need of restoration since Katrina. After blast cleaning and hot wax coating, the statue was installed in its new location at the University Medical Center in March, 2015.  Composition Materials donated the Walnut Shell Blast Media for the project.  Watch the video:
