Fun and more Fun at Knysna Oyster Festival
28 June - 07 July 2013

Knysna has long been synonymous with oysters and it is the main feature at the festival. Restaurants in and around Knysna will showcase their talents by presenting their best oyster dishes to the public.

This year’s programme will sport more than 100 events. A women’s walk, cooking lessons, arts and crafts, movie screenings, sport clinics, exciting competitions, the Admiral’s Ball and old favourites such as the Knysna Cycle Tour, the Knysna Forest Marathon and Half Marathon are on the menu.

The Knysna Oyster Festival is one of the highlights of the social calendar in South Africa. With its mix of food, family fun, and sporting activities it really provides the opportunity for the whole family to enjoy a spectacular winter break. Foir more info ssee http://www.pnpoysterfestival.co.za/

Many people do not realise that the Kruger Park is an excellent self-drive destination. A self drive safari gives you the freedom to explore the Park at your own pace and the amazing thrill of finding the Big Five - elephant, rhino, leopard, lion and buffalo - on your own.

Escape the winter to the warmth of the most northern corners of KwaZulu Natal .... the coast of Maputuland.

Kosi Forest Lodge is nestled into the Kosi Bay Nature Reserve at Lake Shengeza, a nature lover's idyllic retreat. See the specials below and come and experience Eden yourself.

This is part of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park which was listed as South Africa's first World Heritage Site in recognition of its natural beauty. The Park contains three lake systems, eight ecosystems, 700 year old fishing traditions, swamp forests, Africa's largest estuarine system, 526 bird species and 25 000 year-old coastal dunes.

Thonga Beach Lodge is set on the pristine shores of the Maputuland coast at the village of Mabibi. Mabibi is a magical place of coastal forests, grasslands, bush, shimmering lakes and exquisite sandy beaches. Its crystal clear, warm waters offer South Africa’s best snorkelling and fantastic off-shore scuba diving.
