My Activist Friends
I have quite a few friends who are passionate and feel responsible to become activists. I am thankful that questions opened by serious issues have inspired involvement and activism on a whole new level. But really, I hate politics. It's an arena where cultu...

Next week I'm hoping to have some people show up at the Laupahoehoe library who will design a way for library patrons to check out a person at the library. Have any ideas how that might work? Watch this two minute video... Which asks the question, "Why woul...

Here's a conversational article on the ineffectiveness of certain "ergonomic" office furniture. Along with a suggestion that you invest in a bit of edu for the sitter via Alexander Technique.
My personal pet peeve are car seats that force you to slump in order to fasten the seat belt. Being subjected to random motion while sitting makes the seat an even a bigger factor in how you feel when you get out of it.
Any feedback about which car seats are worse or better?

Aloha to my musician and composer friends!
Ever spent too much time talking about arrangement or composition with band members and want to spend more time playing the music?
Ever wondered how it must be possible to give more form to the music jam at a party?
Wondered how to learn the language of being able to improvise?
If you're a music teacher, wouldn't it be educational to get your students play with each other?

Anyway - these are some of the questions I've been asking and answering with an invention of mine. I'd like to make this "back-burner project" into something - would you like to help shape it with your suggestions?

When I was sixteen, I made an agreement with my mother to smile more
often. Because of our bone structure, we have a mouth that turns down
because our lower jaw is a bit small in relation to our skulls. This
