Great Google Doc spreadsheet of Soylent, with Amazon sourcing per-item.

There's so much great, detailed information here! Vanaka, the creator, deserves a medal or a month's supply of soylent or... a free SoyBot :)

Fair point and a valid concern (I'm a little uneasy about receiving small-batch quantities of powdered anything, especially when they also come with extraordinary claims). If this idea takes, trusted sources will emerge naturally (they could be your local grocer, for instance). In the interim, maybe the "cartridge" is something that allows easy transfer of precisely measured materials into the correct container in the soybot.

I bet if I did a search, I'd have found that this joke is already played out. But I didn't, so here you go...

A man named Ben Krasnow has been building a mixing robot to make chocolate chip cookies. It looks like he's solved a lot of the trickier issues surrounding the construction of a mixing robot. I'm going to try and reach out to him, since making people healthier seems like a much better use than making them chocolate chip cookies.

How about a Soylent cookie? Some people on http://discourse.soylent.me are already experimenting with making breads out of it. Challenge: How much nutrition can we cram into a cookie-like-object and still have it be edible?

This link will show you what Soylent looks like visualized as a simple pie chart. It's pretty nifty, and I intend to use this as the basis for the SoyBot web UI:
