I'm from NYC and let me tell you the pizza here at Buma's is fantastic. Heck you even get some NYC attitude sometimes but the people they give it to deserve it, trust me. That said its about the pizza. The standard pizza fare is simply great. Their White Pie amazing. He does some calzones on special that are terrific too, and his Sicilian style? Let's just say whatever it was I came in the door craving that day goes out the window and I get the Sicilian. He also did a thick cut French Bread-style pizza as the special the other day with sausage, peppers, olives, etc. So big I saved half for the next day. Absolutely great pizza. They stopped dinner service so you have to go at lunch but it is very, very well worth it. Just fantastic.

Out of wings and nachos on a Monday night? Inexcusable.

I gotta say I much preferred the old space. This new one is gorgeous but is overwhelming and just way too much of a "good thing". It appears there's like 5-6 times more exhibits than at the Palace of Fine Arts location but at least there 70%+ of the exhibits were interesting and fun. At the new place it's maybe 30-40% and the rest about as interesting as chapter 28 of any college physics, biology or chemistry text book. Yawn. Seems they went for major quantity over interesting quality. The exhibits are well-done but after a while are just plain boring. Also the lay-out of the place is just seemingly disjointed and not very explicitly understood or flowing, and I could not figure out any set organization that would make sense for any parent without really studying the map and floor plan, let alone any kid under 10, which was about 90% of the kids there. This all resulted is kids just running around, slapping and smacking buttons or frantically turning knobs and if they did not see something happen that was interesting or cool in 5-10 seconds would just move on...makes for a very disorganized, tiring and crazy atmosphere inside with limited fun past perhaps an hour or so.

The pastries need no introduction, as others have said, all delicious. I love his take-home meals and am presently eating his wonderful cassoulet as I write this: duck confit, sausage, lamb, big fat beans, bacon, onions, all in a terrific sauce. His pates also excellent. So happy to have this place nearby.

Been popping in here since a few weeks after it first opened. Lately exploding in popularity which is good but makes it harder to find a place to sit! I welcomed the expansion of the food menu lately beyond the pasties (which while very tasty too often came out cold in the centers). Overall the new items are really good but a severe shortage on the bread given as I found myself, with the cheese plate and rillete plate, short of bread both times having at least half of my cheese and rillete left yet all bread rounds gone, and I piled it on high. So more bread per plate please. Wonderful selection of beers though I agree with the comment below about overuse of hops in some. Hope that fad fades soon. But the remaining less hoppy beers are more than enough for me. I've yet to have any bad beer here and most often just go with the recommendation of whoever is taking my order. Never let down once and they often recommend one I may not have tried otherwise. My son skateboards at the skateboard park right down the street, so I've become more enthusiastic in offering to come pick him up at the park when he'done for the day or night. Typically I'm fine if he wants another 15-20 to ride....know what I mean?

Subway sandwiches are crap and this place no different. How can people eat such generic and practically pre-manufactured garbage?

Great people, great flowers and great service. So friendly and a wonderful selection of flowers. My go-to for my wife's birthday and our anniversary. Do not call some 800 number for flowers call directly and give more business to this nice local shop. We should cherish local merchants like this.
