Hi. I have tried ScreenStudio on Ubuntu Gnome and have this problem:

When I start recording, the ScreenStudio window disappears, and is minimized to the small Gnome notification tray on the bottom left of the screen.

Then it keeps recording, but I don't know how to stop it. The icon in the tray is not visible nor clickable.

Am I doing something wrong? Does ScreenStudio work on Gnome at all?

In Ubuntu Gnome 16.04, settings are not translated. Is this a bug I should report in Ubuntu Gnome or in upstream Gnome?

It's funny how the Dell XPS has replaced the Mac as showcase model in the +Linux Scoop videos. I guess #Dell is doing something right here :)

Maybe it's a well known fact, but I just discovered that you can create a new folder with some selected files.

Those small details that make a desktop feel great...

Was reading about "Vector Networks". +Synfig, the vector animation software I wrote long ago, initially used the same concept. Eventually it became clear that paths (which we called "blines") made sense as an organizational aid. However, connecting points between blines was always dead simple. The example given in the article, where three lines connect at a single point shared by all of them, has always been a feature of Synfig, all the way back to 2003.

Though I'll admit, the automatic creation of filled regions implicitly defined by overlapping lines is pretty slick.

I've been using chromium web apps for several months under Ubuntu Gnome, and so far loved the integration in the dash. Being able to search for them or add them to the dock was great!

But I've tried to add some other webs recently and was unable to create a shortcut. There seems to be no option to do that. Is this a bug or is the feature being removed?

Great software looking for a new name... or maybe not :)
As per Issue #41 on github, many people don't like the name Terminix and have suggested a variety of others. While I like Terminix, I can understand the dislike for it and am open to a name change.

I've picked out my favorites from issue #41, so let's run a poll to see if there is a clear consensus on what the new name should be.
