It's Peace Day!

Today will be the largest ever participation of individuals in the name of peace and the largest ever reduction of violence ever recorded on one day. CISVers show your usual amazing support!
On Peace Day, 21 September 2012, Peace One Day Presents ‘Global Truce 2012’ as part of the London 2012 Festival. This celebration features a headline performance from Elton John in his only London show this year plus performances from James Morrison, 2CELLOS and introductions by Peace One Day founder, Jeremy Gilley, Peace One Day Ambassador, Jude Law and Lily Cole. The show is set to be the biggest event of Peace One Day’s groundbreaking 13-year history and you can watch it on our official YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/peaceoneday) and here on our Google+ page.

So whether you're at the concert in Wembley Arena, or watching it live on YouTube, simply join this Event and upload your pictures and comments about the concert, or anything Peace One Day related, via Android, iPhone or the web.

Tell us you’re ‘going’ to the Event by clicking the blue 'Are you going' button above and selecting 'Yes'. Then download the Google+ App to your Android or iPhone and sign in with your Google+ details.

Wherever you are in the world you can join Peace One Day in celebrating Peace Day and Global Truce 2012.

This year we are focused on sustainable development. Sustainable development combines economic and social well-being, with protecting the environment by using natural resources responsibly.

To demonstrate our committment to saving the environment, we are working in partnership with Earth Hour 2012. CISV International have issued a challenge to all CISV members to take part in the Earth Hour 2012 challenge - will you switch your lights out on 31 March?
