Simulation of gas cloud after close approach to the black hole at the centre of the Milky Way

This view shows a simulation of how a gas cloud that has been observed approaching the supermassive black hole at the centre of the galaxy may break apart over the next few years. This is the first time ever that the approach of such a doomed cloud to a supermassive black hole has been observed.

The remains of the gas cloud are shown in red and yellow, with the cloud's orbit marked in red. The stars orbiting the black hole are also shown along with blue lines marking their orbits. This view simulates the expected positions of the stars and gas cloud in the year 2021.

Google camera is here!

Today we’re launching Google Camera, a new app for your Android phone or tablet that makes it easy to take quick photos and videos. And being behind the lens just got more fun with new creative picture modes.

Sleek Design. The 100% viewfinder gets out of your way while capturing the maximum resolution of the scene (no dropped pixels). And the extra large capture button is easy to press so your eyes never lose sight of the subject.

Lens Blur. Emphasize the subject while blurring the background for an SLR-like shot with shallow depth-of-field (or bokeh). You can even change the subject in focus after taking the shot.

Improved Panorama. New higher resolution panoramas capture the full width and detail of a scene.

Photo Sphere. Immersive 360 degree photo spheres let you look up, down and all around...now at up to 50 megapixels! For the first time available on non-Nexus devices.

Google Camera is now available on the Play store (http://goo.gl/llsZjx), and works on all phones and tablets running Android 4.4+ KitKat. We’re just getting started, and in the months ahead we'll make Google Camera available to more devices, helping make photography easier, faster and more fun.

Check out our Research Blog to learn more (http://goo.gl/lUDfi8).

Hey all once again.

Trying to display a list of certain contacts by matching up their contact ids but having a hard time with the SQLite syntax.  Please take a look at my question on SO and see if you can lend a hand.

Triggering Activity Configuration Changes

In case you didn't know this method existed... the Activity#recreate() method allows you to programatically trigger Activity configuration changes (available since API 11). I sometimes find it useful as I'm debugging.

public void recreate() Cause this Activity to be recreated with a new instance. This results in essentially the same flow as when the Activity is created due to a configuration change -- the current instance will go through its lifecycle to onDestroy() and a new instance then created after it.

Still looking to get a solution to my problem. Since the last time I posted this I got a little closer to achieving what I want of a "Pinned" image when scrolling but if the image is smaller than the height of the view the image does not have that Pinned effect and scrolls like it normally would until it gets to the top. Maybe +Romain Guy can chime in and provide some insight on this since some of the code if from his Road Trip project

Horrible experience. Bad service, it's like they've never owned a restaurant before. I recommend Big Heng on Glendale near 17th Avenue. Much better food and service.
