We have this very mower, and when I went to cut the grass yesterday it started and cut off repeatedly. I just gave up. Granted, we haven't taken very good care of it, so it's long overdue for a tune up. I told my husband - who is away - about it, and he said for me not to worry about it because 1) I have no patience and 2) I don't know anything about engines. Talk about throwing down the gauntlet! I WILL get this puppy going smoothly. Thanks so much for the video. I'll let you know how it goes. :)

Well, unless you are leaking a lot of fuel then that would not affect the power as much. What about the spark plug you put in? Was it the correct one and same size? Also check the air filter and to make sure it is breathing good.  The loss of power will happen if you are not getting the right amount of fuel, the piston is not firing, and the engine is not breathing.  Also, check your throttle cable and where it attaches. To give it more power you can pull on it down by the carb, not just by the handle. hope some of that helps. let me know, thanks

Larry! This is wonderful, and it's wonderful to "see" you! What a terrific first effort, my friend. Can't wait for more. :)

Honey, 96 was a hell of a run. What you said resonates so deeply with me. I spent the entire day with Dad, the day he died in the evening after I had gone home. Lots of relatives came through that day, but I sat with him while Mom and my sister could deal with relatives downstairs. Dad was fairly lucid almost to the end. He relived being in jazz clubs as a serviceman in WWII. It was an extraordinary experience, which I will forever cherish.

Larry, you are a gift. I thank God you are a nurse, because that suits your deep compassion. Thanks for this video.
