We’re pleased to announce that we’ve an exciting new project in development about the life and work of photographer Steve McCurry. Renowned for the famous photograph of the Afghan Girl with green eyes for National Geographic, the photographer’s work spans more than 5 decades and all the continents of the globe. From war stricken Iraq to delirious colour festivals in India, Steve McCurry’s work captures the raw beauty of the human condition in an awakening message of unity.

Polar Star Films’ first fiction feature film is almost finished! "Facing the Wind", directed by Meritxell Colell Aparicio, is in the final stages of post-production. The film marries dance, documentary and cine de auteur to create a singular tale of home ties and relationships.
Facing the Wind tells the story of Monica, a renowned choreographer, on her return to Spain after 20 years of absence to see her sick father. Upon arriving her father has already died and her mother asks her to stay to sell the family home. In delaying her return to Buenos Aires Monica rediscovers her childhood landscapes and is forced to confront the past.
Facing the Wind is a Polar Star Films, Habitación 1520 Producciones and Lapage Paraiso production, supported by Eurimages, ICAA, INCAA, Cinéfondation L’Atelier, @REC and Sources 2.

Nos complace anunciar que Polar Star Films tiene un nuevo documental en producción. La coproducción internacional dirigida por Cosima Dannoritzer (Comprar, tirar, comprar & La tragedia electrónica) inició el rodaje en Europa el mes pasado con el nombre provisional Time is Money. El equipo está actualmente rodando en Estados Unidos y pronto viajará a Japón. Más info:
