ELIODOMESTICO
A solar household still for the developing countries

A beautiful open source project from #designer Gabriele Diamanti that enables water desalination anywhere there’s sunlight and saltwater.
Unlike other desalination projects that are energy and maintenance intensive, Eliodomestico is made of simple and poor material, burnt clay and tin metal, that can be entirely produced by local craftspeople and can be used in remote areas where connections to power grids are impossible.
Eliodomestico advantages are:
No electricity
No filters
Very easy to maintain
Good impact on the local economy
No impact on the environment.
At the end of the day, Eliodomestico produces 5 liters of drinkable water.

Crave Dessert Bar and its beautiful logo by Kovick.

Great logo. To me the concept goes beyond a chocolate texture: it could be a sauce, a cream, custard, even maionnaise, or ketchup! that gets painted with the tip of a fork (!!), with a toothstick, whatever! and it makes you want to wipe this cream off with your fingers and lick them, as a kid who gets his/her fingers in a birthday cake to taste the cake cream… And indeed the restaurant uses this logo in many “sauces”! There’s a very strong recall to culinary art itself, a back and forth game between the logo as a visual, and the logo as a gnummy object.
Also I believe that the fork - representing the very last letter of the logo lettering - is  there on many levels: it is obvioulsy represented visually; but you can also “sense it” as if the logo itself could have been painted with the tip of a fork; or you could use a fork to wipe off this logo from a plate and eat it… Great logo indeed.
