Am I the only one wondering about #WonderCon? It's sister event, #ComicCon has been a San Diego fixture since its inception n but recently there has been a lot of discussion about the fact that it's outgrowing the San Diego convention center. Those discussions resulted in a planned upgrade to the convention center. Unfortunately, as with any politically driven initiative, nothing gets done quickly, and the agreement with the ComicCon folks expires before construction will begin on the new facilities.

During the discussions, the folks at Comic Con also evaluated offers from Anaheim - which brings me back to Wonder Con. It's traditionally been a San Francisco event, but it's been moved temporarily to Anaheim. Coincidence? Maybe? But if the organizers of Comic Con wanted to try out the facilities and work out logistical problems, what better way than this?
