I've very glad you'll be at the Tournament.
It is an official Fantasy Flight "Store Championship"
I'll be the Tournament Organizer, but I'm also playing in it.  That means we'll have to do the 3 judge thing so I'm not making decisions about my own bouts.  Would you be willing to be one of the Judges?

Also I know you're more of a Google+ guy, but I wanted to share that I created a facebook group for the local Evansville Area X-wing players and its only a few days old now but there are already over 20 people on it.  I'm amazed.  Also even though I can only game every other Thursday there are now games weekly.  So the local gaming scene has out grown my individual recruiting and that's also a very neat thing to see.

Help, please, with uploading images.

I'm using Chrome as the browser when viewing Oopinou's Pilot Card creator and it's providing a good translation.
I can't figure out how to upload an image though.  Can some please take me step by step through the process?  (I think my problem is both computer skills and the translation.)

One of the more interesting events was teaching the person who had not seen the movies.  There is just so much jargon that a life long Star Wars fan uses.  My first clue in was something like me saying "If you'll hand me that X-wing I'll...." and the person saying "I don't know what an X-wing is."

I too got the lava rocks for my asteroids for free. There was a mess on the floor from a couple burst bags . I said something about an art project and only needing a handful. The clerk said sure as it will make his clean up easier.

Wow.  I'm honored and surprised that I was mentioned in this blog.  And yes I love the game but had not played in awhile.  In fact our game was the first time I'd played Slave 1.  Like was said our FLGS had a pretty good league going and very successful Kessel Run tournament but then did nothing to further the hobby.  I sort of kept waiting for the next invitation to the next event but it didn't come.  It was only when I traveled to other cities and states did I realize X-wing is still going strong.  In fact it was during my Spring Break when I went into a hobby store in Floride (Gamers don't go to the beach, they go to new game stores) that I saw that the next wave of minis was released.  That inspired me to host the event at Table Top Day.

I've now learned "If it's going to be it's up to me."

Anyone else having to restart a league and recruit back people who used to play X-wing?
I'd love to hear any pointers and good advice.
