My first attempted. I did not style the food but just thought I would try the lighting. Stylizing the food will be my toughest battle but I will make it.

A Taco breakfast for this morning. I thought I would try a shot of it using my north facing window next to an east facing window. The food is obviously not styled but I am happy with the lighting and how the food looks under the light. I think it is a good start into my food photography endeavor .  Shot with an iPhone and processed in Filterstorm and Snapseed.

Hi David...I agree with you about the light, it brings out all of the vibrance in your food.  I always shoot my food in natural light also.  You picked the perfect window for this :)  Keep working on styling, it takes time...I am learning more all the time from reading books/magazines and following other bloggers.  Good luck!

Heard this on NPR this afternoon and was a little frighted.
For the first time, researchers have found a person in the United States carrying bacteria resistant to antibiotics of last resort, an alarming development that the top U.S. public health official says could signal "the end of the road" for antibiotics

Lilly is waiting. Today I took my dog Lilly to the vet but by the photo below, she has no clue. She will do fine but my pocket book, not so much.

Spring time and that meant that it was time to photograph Triskaideka with a Spring theme. The great thing about this cat is that I am photographing him at home and he knows me. That is how we get the best portraits of a cat. Now if it was any other cat coming to me or we did it anywhere else then I would not have gotten the same results. Pets are happiest in places they know.

Yesterday Lilly got have her annual vet check-up.So I took a few hours off of work so I could take her to the appointment and to ease into the work week. For the most part Lilly didn’t know that she is going to the vet. She just thought that it is great to get out of the crate early today and sit out on the porch. Lilly is good about going to the vets so I never have to do anything to calm her down. In fact most of our dogs have...

My boy has a job that I think could be a great one for him. Still not 100% what he does but at least it has benefits, good pay and cool gear. I created a portrait of him before he left.

The best tool to capture an image is the one you have in your and and between your ears.
Introduction

Like most started taking photos in my teens. I have been a professional photographer in various incarnations 20 plus years. I love to learn new things along with new imaging tools. I truly believe if you know your craft you can create images on any camera given to you. No camera is beneath me.
