My first attempted. I did not style the food but just thought I would try the lighting. Stylizing the food will be my toughest battle but I will make it.
A Taco breakfast for this morning. I thought I would try a shot of it using my north facing window next to an east facing window. The food is obviously not styled but I am happy with the lighting and how the food looks under the light. I think it is a good start into my food photography endeavor .  Shot with an iPhone and processed in Filterstorm and Snapseed.

I create these images this week. I wanted to shoot these blooms in a direct sun, shadow combination in order to get the drama I wanted. When I got out there the thin clouds of the morning did not yield the light I was looking for. That was okay because the light I did get was soft which matched the softness of the blooms which created a better image. Sometimes what you want is not as good as what you get. I think being open to the moment rather than folding the tripod up for another day can give you images that are better than you imagined.
