This review is for Glance Wine Bar: With two major concerts going on at Staples Center and Nokia Theater, you would figure that the managers would schedule more staff. Not the case. I was very lucky to have found a booth seat considering the mayhem of the evening; yet, I sat in said booth for 20 minutes waiting for a server. Proceeded to the bar to order drinks, but I suppose I should have worn the frilly costumes the 10-14 year olds who were going to the Katy Perry concert were wearing to have been noticed. Note to bartenders: If I am standing in front of the bar, facing you - it's because I want a drink - not because I am marveling at your Brian Flanagan moves behind the bar.

Very nice hotel property & room. Service was very good especially for the New Years holiday & hosting FSU for the Rose Bowl. Love the location, close to many great places to eat & Staples Center.

One of their catering leads, Sam, went out of his way to rectify the situation when our company booked an incorrect suite for our business meetings. (A call center attendee gave us bad information about their suites and they were not pictured well on the JW site.) Sam saved the day by working with his team to get us what we needed. We would definitely use JW again, especially under guidance of our trusted contact. Thanks to true hospitality leaders, like Sam Vaca, we're looking forward to having an excellent stay and fruitful meetings with our customers and partners. Note: it's never a bad idea to contact the hotel directly and ask them for their suite layouts and images, which Sam was quick to get to us!

Very poor general management. They will not accept credit cards over the phone or those on file, including on file with Marriott rewards members. They will require your credit card payment information, but by their own claims have so much fraud within this one particular Marriott that they recommend customers bring pre-paid payment cards from Walmart -- the words of their reservations staff. Beware..

The JW Marriott is a fantastic hotel. Everyone is very nice and always helpful, they make you feel like you are at home. The rooms are spacious and well decorated. One of our favorite places is the lobby bar. It is a great place to sit, relax and have a snack and drink or two. Manny and Maria are awesome. Our family loves to stay at the JW Marriott at LA Live. We have been twice in the pat few months and even changed our reservations from the Ritz Carlton to stay at the JWM for an upcoming visit. Highly recommend going there next time you are in Downtown LA!

Typically poor Marriott service. I asked for a picture or model of the crib to verify it is the appropriate size, and they said they didn't have either. That's fine -- I wouldn't expect them to. I then asked if they could have somebody take a picture on their phone and send it to me, and they essentially said, "Maybe." Three days later, no picture. I had to email Marriott headquarters, who finally got a response from the hotel several days later, but the crib they reported didn't match what was actually at the hotel (a Foundations play pen if you're interested -- not something you can lower a sleeping newborn into). There are no microwave ovens on the premises, so if you plan to heat up some leftovers, think again. WiFi is $13 / day.

I kinda LOVE this place - why? It's one of the newer and classier hotels in DTLA. I've stayed here a few times for the Rock & Roll LA 1/2 marathon and events at the LA Live/Staples/Nokia events. Why the one strike -1 star? Welllllll. $40 bucks overnight for valet. Their rates are already high for a hotel in the area, and you want another $40? Whatcha trying to do? Bleed me poor? LOL. I guess if you're at a bougie hotel as such. But even with that said, the staff is awesome. Especially Pawel who was our pool area attendant this past weekend. He.Was.Awesome. He made sure that we had what we needed plus always made sure that we were hydrated and brought us water. Thanks Pawel!!!! Btw, the pool is heated and is an ion/salted pool. I'm pretty sure that's the only one around the dtla area. Pool area is on the 4th floor and it has a fantastic view of LA Live area. The hotel is in conjunction with the Ritz Carlton Residences. Floors 5-21 are hotel rooms for the JW Marriott, and the higher floors are the Residences. We also had a double bed room. I'm not sure why they don't offer 2 queen rooms. It's either 2 doubles or 1 king. Some tips- You can check for early check in around 1pm. We were able to do that :) YAY! Normal check in is a 3pm. Check out is at 12 pm. Aromatherapy Associates toiletry stuff.Awesome great tub and bathroom to go with the room. We had a special deal in conjunction with the Rock & Roll Marathon peeps. Single coffee pots in the room. Bottled water is on the house (you can request for more) It's located within the LA Live area with food/restaurants/movie theater/staples/nokia all within a stone's throw. Enjoy your stay!

You think you fancy huh? Yes, I do. Especially when I get to celebrate my bday in the JW Marriott's finest room, the presidential suite. The suite is a little over 1,300sq ft. and features a dining area that sits up to 8 people, large bedroom, kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and multiple flatscreen TVs. There's also a TV built into the mirror in the master bathroom. I was fascinated by it, and also distracted when applying my makeup and getting ready. Everything was beautiful with modern decor and a stunning view of the LA skyline. This is definitely my dream room. The hotel has a pool/jacuzzi on the rooftop along w/a full bar. There's also a restaurant, wine bar, cafe, and lounge located near the lobby. Check-in/out was quick and easy. The entire staff from bell guy to concierge were all helpful and accommodating. Valet ONLY. $40 a night. Pretty hefty.
