I can definitely understand and agree with the main points Lauren draws. But I can understand the "prudish female bloggers", too. If you look at any tech blog/vlog or any content that is not clichee oriented for women (I loathe these categories), there are always sexual innuendos. Nixie Pixel, Sassy Bob or Lacie Green are only some examples which sometimes suffer from sexual overloaden interpretations and creepy messages.
On the other side, the confident attitude provokes prudish men and (mostly) women to criticize the female bloggers for showing cleavage or even wittiness (how dare they...)
I think the extremes are not what everyone wants. I really like e.g. Nixie Pixel, as she is fun to listen to and she is intelligent. She is real. Smitten Kitchen has great recipes, too. I consume information/entertainment from either prudish and open-minded authors. I really don't care, who is who.
