Great story.  I feel that soaring is our natural state.  We get conditioned to do nothing and peck around like those chickens - at least that is my way of thinking.  It's the same idea that a child or youth has an innate artistic sense, some kind of creativity, that is often zapped in older age.  Why is that?
Are you a Chicken or an Eagle? A man found an eagle’s egg and put it in the nest of a barnyard hen. The eaglet hatched with the rest of the chicks and grew up with them. All his life the eagle did what the rest of the chicken...

Thanks for commenting +David Tumbarello always a pleasure to hear from you.  In my experience, people acquire filters/ barriers/ masks that others around them, or social protocols. impose over time until such time they kind of 'forget' who they were meant to be.  Stripping those layers away, removing the masks to discover the REAL person they were destined to be is the basic tenet of what we do here.  I find this to be the case with everyone we work with.  So often when you give someone a guitar after they tell you 'i used to play a bit' it is so enlightening when one sees the joy on their face as they come into contact with what they used to to do (or be).  Their fundamental, innate, personality with all it's hopes dreams and potential comes out. People usually say 'people don't know how to fly' but in my experience, we all fly or soar at many things but we have FORGOTTEN that we can fly.  Early on we did not know what the 'rules' were.  We spend our lives solving, answering and creating within the rules we learned.  this is why amateurs can solve more problems than experts.  They are not confined by rules.  Seeing the full picture as one unencumbered by protocol and rules is the way forward.  Remain in contact with who we really are and never let the light that burns inside go out.
Thank you my friend

I wrote this after realizing that my first encounter of the day set my tone for the next several hours. Let me know your thoughts by adding to the conversation at the bottom!
Seventeen ways to start your day with expectations of success.1. Listen to motivation music.  Music can help your body's chemistry and reduce anxiety.  Creating a morning playlist can be both motivational and a "secret weapon against stress."2. Share an appreciation - write an email or tell someone directly that you appreciate having this person in your life.  And be specific.  I find that selfless acts have a rippling effect.  If I can share an ...

I love your addition +Nicole Levac !  Breath is so important to starting the day right.  Too often I take for granted that my breath can set my mood, and my mind, at ease.  And +Dave Moore , I often find that writing is what is needed to keep me on track. I never got in the habit of strictly working form a day planner, but I like you idea of using it to keep on track!  Thanks for the addition as well!

Great words of inspiration.  If you need some motivation this morning, check out +Irene Becker 's post.  I learned that making a plan for the day is motivational.  And it feels good to accomplish goals.  Obvious lessons, but good to have the reminder!
