The food was excellent. I had the Crawfish Spring Rolls that come with the best dipping sauce. I also had Shrimp Creole. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and I enjoyed every bite. The wait staff was extremely nice, and the food came out quickly. The owner stopped by to see how we were and he is really nice as well. I recommend trying anything there!

Love this place and the owner story! A little hard to find, but just turn west, on the street across from Einstein Bagels. Then pull into the parking deck of the building. Don't have a car, take the light rail to the Bland Street station then head south along the tracks. The venue is located right next to the tracks on the East side! Okay, I had the shrimp appetizer and it was amazing! I could have turned into a pot belly pig with that yummy stuff! It is cooked in a sauce and served with French bread slices...for dipping! For my main course, I chose a southern dish...collards and pork chops! Spicy collards are so yummy and the owner has a great recipe! My friend had a NOLA dish, I think was the etoufee? She is tiny and ate the whole thing! My only complaint is the outside chairs are not so comfy, but when you are spending money to get started...sometimes décor is the last thing to come since it is not a money making expenditure! He and his family moved here one day ahead of the Katrina impact. He is a smart man that knew to get out of the way. He came here and started over and is doing a great job!

The food is fairly good but I've gone there multiple times and the menu has been different every time and being a vegetarian I rely on knowing what I can get at restaurants. It seems a little expensive for a type of restaurant where you order at the counter and they bring it to you... Service was acceptable but for such a small place, it could be a lot better.

Not sure if I was accidentally served gumbo instead of etouffee or if they think gumbo is etouffee. Either way the etouffee is pretty good.....if you want gumbo. Will have to try again the see if the gumbo is etouffee.

Exit the light rail at Bland Street and you're there! This is easily my favorite Cajun restaurant in town: the food is excellent, the portions are just right, and the service is downright friendly! My favorite lunch is the chicken & sausage gumbo, which is kick-your-momma good. Top off with beignets and coffee!

Totally awesome real New Orleans cajun cuisine. They have dine in and take out (Gourmet To Go). Their creole is the best I have EVER had!
