Kona is the "Worlds Oldest Skatepark" as listed in the 2014 edition of Guinness World Book of Records.  Established in 1977 Kona has been a consistent leader in the skateboarding, BMX and Inline Skate communities.  With over five acres of terrain, Kona is also considered one of the worlds largest skateparks.  It features two vert ramps, competition street course, mini-spine ramp, competition kidney pool, and vintage skate areas including a massive bowl with six foot vertical tombstone, J-Run and the infamous downhill Snake Run.  The entire park is featured in the Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4 video game and park owners Martin Ramos and his mother Helen Ramos are characters.  Currently, Kona is managed by the second generation of the Ramos Family including Martin Ramos III, Laurie Ramos (wife) and their children: Cassidy, Roxanne and Scarlet.

Paradise! This doesn't exist anymore. Greatest place on earth. You haven't lived if you haven't been to Kona.

Started going in mid 80s. Now I live in PA and miss it bad. This is where Rodney Mullen started getting big. Greatest skater ever, and one of the coolest skate parks ever. After all, Tony Hawk DID put it in his game... 😉

Kona Skate Park hasn't shared anything with you.

People are more likely to share with you if you add them to your circles.
