New post added at Mesu Andrews - Ready to Leave Egypt?Have you ever heard the term, Stockholm syndrome? It’s a psychological phenomenon in which a captive begins to bond with his/her captor. In extreme cases, the captive may even identify with the captor. Can you imagine? You don't have to...there's a story in Scripture about it...

New post added at Mesu Andrews - Look Inside My Research Process...
To understand my research process, you must first realize how utterly compulsive I am. When I was in high school, I hated history—can you believe it? I never read the chapters, so when it was time for a test, it was time to cram!

Working on a post for the ACFW (American Christian Fiction Writers) national blog, "Adding Flesh to Bones," describing how historical and biblical fiction writers carefully add fiction-flesh to the factual-bones of their historical/biblical novels. Great input from some fantastic historical/biblical authors: Roseanna White, Tamara Leigh, Tamara Alexander, Eric Wiggin, Veronica Heley, Gayle Roper, Lyn Cote, Melanie Dobson, and Martha Rogers. Post goes live on March 15th at: http://www.acfw.com/blog/

Had lunch today with some local author friends, and we had a special visitor from the Midwest--one of my favorite biblical fiction author/friends--Jill Eileen Smith. Jill and I hadn't seen each other for three years. Soooooooooo great to reconnect with this dear lady at one of my favorite bookstores.

New blog post today - When It’s Hard to Love…Our three-year-old grand-daughter Piper is a fount of illustrative material, so when our daughter called the other day with another “Piper-ism” I wasn’t surprised. Evidently, they’d had sort of a tough day. Piper looked at her mother—hand on hip—and said, “Mommy, I love you, but sometimes it’s hard.”
