You could, of course, cut a hole in the top cover that's big enough for an EPROM. And that way you could use the sticker on the chip to identify it. Or even use a ZIF socket.

But I'm sure I'm not the first one to think of that :)

Ben Chong made a 6502 CPU card for the RC2014 project.

I was planning on doing that myself some day but I guess he was quicker :-)

I guess I can still try to make an L-Star for RC2014... :-)
