CLOTH & KIND is a residential & commercial interior design firm led by co-owners Krista Nye Schwartz & Tami Ramsay with office locations in Ann Arbor, MI and Athens, GA. The pair are renowned for their ability to create spaces with history and heart, with story and substance. Whether locally, nationally or virtually, each project is layered with a meticulous mix of one of a kind curated finds and finished with a heavy dose of unique and custom textiles, art and furnishings. Krista & Tami’s design aesthetic is always classic and patinaed with a modern vibe and a worldly influence.
The pair also pens the CLOTH & KIND Journal, a widely read and praised blog that has emerged as a songbird showcasing the world’s leading and emerging talents and personalities within the interior design, textile and art communities. Their ongoing column PROUST ON DESIGN, offers a unique design-related spin on the traditional questionnaire by French novelist, essayist & critic Marcel Proust, and has featured some of the biggest names in the interior design industry.
Krista & Tami's design work and writing have been featured in House Beautiful, Elle Decor, Lonny, The Huffington Post, The Atlantan, Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles, Detroit Home, as well as many respected blogs including Remodelista, Apartment Therapy & StyleBeat, to name a few. In 2014, CLOTH & KIND was invited to design a window for the prestigious La Cienega Design District Legends event, which received tremendous accolades from press and peers in the design community alike. The duo is currently designing two rooms for the 2014 Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles Home for the Holidays showhouse, which will be open to the public in November 19-December 7, 2014.
