"Vallon sonore."
We know this because a few minutes into Star Trek: First Contact, Jean-Luc Picard, far from home, is listening to Ryland Davies sing "Vallon sonore." h/t Steve Hicken for pointing this out to me.

Phone question: My phone is a Verizon-branded 1st gen Moto X running with a T-Mobile chip. The phone is unlocked, so this does work.

However....if I go to System Updates, I'm told there is an update. I try to download and install, the phone checks, and then tells me that there is no update. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Rebooting does not change this.

My partner has a plain-vanilla 1st gen Moto X ordered from Motorola. Her phone was upgraded to Lollipop some weeks ago.

My phone has received at least one update to Verizon software on the phone.

My hypothesis is that the the update is coming from T-Mobile but the Verizon bloatware is blocking it somehow.

If that is correct, is there a way around it?

Oh lord. Hoping the soprano is replaced in some time in the next month.
....to the Bayreuth Tristan und Isolde. Stephen Gould, the tenor, is okay; paying attention to the words, a little pressed. Hmm, why, in that acoustic, is he oversinging? But Evelyn Herlitzius, who is singing Isolde? OMG. The...
