So the food here is amazing!! (NOT the mimosas. They're gross) but everything else was fantastic. We had about 20 people in our party. (rehearsal brunch for brothers wedding) so of course it took a while for food, but nothing extreme. The reason for the 2 stars is because of the service. All of the wait staff are extremely rude!! Half of them looked like they crawled out of a crack house that morning. And every single one of them had a terrible attitude. God forbid you ask politely to have your drink refilled, it's damn near an argument with these people. If you eat here hopefully you have better service than we did.

One star for my view and location. Everything else blah. Service. What service. I've had better service at downtown Baltimore McDonalds. My first time in SC. I'm from Texas. Dallas to be exact. Surf Diner might not be the place that I will stop by next time I come to surfside. I commented about River City Cafe as well. #STOPRACISM

Between each of my family members we got the flounder, the philly cheesteak sandwhich, and chicken tenders. I was fortunate to get to sample some of each plate. We all loved the food, the service, the atmosphere, and the view. It was a very hot day and the waitress new the drinks wold water down quick so she would swap the out regularly.

Our family of 6 ate here on a Friday evening in July 2016. The hostess told us it might be an hour before our food was served due to the busy crowd. However, they seated us within 5 minutes and we got our food about 30 minutes or less after we ordered. I thought this was reasonable given how busy they were. I got the Bacon American Burger and fries. They were really good; cooked to order and well seasoned. My wife and kids all liked their meals, too. Sharon, our server, provided friendly and efficient service. The prices weren't bad. For all of us the total was about $50 pre-tip. We ate on the outdoor deck by the pier: really windy, but beautiful views of the beach. We plan to go back when we're in town again.

The food here was good. The flounder fingers were AWESOME. Very fresh! The scallops were also very good, but the best part of the whole experience was SHANNON, our server. (Breakfast is good here as well) Come during happy hour and ask for Shannon)

Will not be eating here again. Waited 30 minutes to get a table for 3, while multiple groups of 2 walked in and were immediately seated at table for 4. Waited an hour between appetizer and main course. Fried pickles, surf nachos, and French fries were good-clams were tough, oysters undercooked, coleslaw tasted like it had gone bad, and the "boom boom" sauce was mostly Thousand Island dressing. Our waitress, however, was wonderful-could have gotten up to 2 stars based on waitress alone if entire family hadn't gotten food poisoning.

Food was great. Ambiance was very relaxing right next to the beach and connected to the pier. Waitress was kind and helpful. Great prices. Fast service. Only complaint, if you can call it that, was the patty on the burger was super thin and my "dinner size" salad was the same size of my husbands "side" salad but for twice the price. Other than that it was great and those were minor details, I still enjoyed it all 👍🏽👍🏽😊
