If you're already on Google+, you're on the front lines of some of the biggest changes happening on the internet. This week, Google has tweaked its search engine algorithm with a product it calls "Search Plus Your World." In essence, Search Plus Your World largely downplays the role "content farms" play in your search results in favor of those based on your personal experiences in social media – particularly, good ol' Google+.

Here's a real world example of Search Plus Your World in action ...

In theory, if we wanted to start regular Google+ hangouts (potentially with guests) to go further in depth on various news topics:
a.) Is that something you'd be interested in?
b.) Is that something you have the software and hardware to be able to participate in?
c.) When during the week would you most likely be able to participate? (Ex. We like to goof around on the internet first thing on Mondays to avoid getting to REAL work.)

I have the capabilities, but I don't think it's a feature I would use with MRT. Perhaps if you had a guest speaker or something of that nature I might find it useful. For example, someone from City Council or a developer. You might be able to put together a group geared towards special interests like stay-at-home moms or a college student forum. Aside from that, I just prefer to get real-time news updates.

My only advice regarding times for hangouts would be to consider your target audience. Many people that work or go to school may not have access to social media sites during the work week. Hope this helps.
