Nice article. I agree on the value of multi-page sites, though believe there is value in scrolling pages on sites, particularly the home page. That said, the home page should offer links to additional content that is divided among multiple pages as this article suggests.
Scrolling home pages allows a reader to gather more information while they're in their 'skimming mode' without the commitment on selecting a link and going to another page.
If you've designed the home page content well, and the site is relevant to the reader, they will likely select a link to read further.
Remember to watch out for the use of H1 tags on your headlines. I believe Google rules dictate that the H1 tag only occur once per page, so on a scrolling page, you would want to use H2 tags on your headlines, if you need to use them more than once. Otherwise you risk poorer performance in Google.
