In philly, when in doubt ride the duck tours. (Ik that doesn't rhyme) This is something to do that basically gives you a tour of all of the Philadelphia sights. There is not a lot of history mentioned which is good because not a lot of people care about history.(especially kids). The funny thing about that too is that the area they tour is mostly historic. A couple mentioned sites in Camden when u reach the point in the water in which u can SEE Camden. The only problem for me which was minor is the gas that is ALL you are able to smell. If you don't like the smell of gasoline and have bad-scent issues, this isn't for you. Best thing to do in Philadelphia.

Ducks Ride itself excellent--very educational, entertaining, and just fun! Only major downside was parking--parked in public garage just West of Ducks kiosk @ 6th and Chestnut St., entering on N. side of Chestnut St. Assumed this was the assigned parking for the Ducks tour. When i went to leave less than 3 hrs. later from parking garage, got bill for $23--all automated and no one to talk to to see if this outrageous charge was correct! If you do go on Ducks tour, DON'T park in the underground garage on Chestnut underground, just West of 6th St., North side. Huge ripoff!

Philly duck toura are Unorganized and uncomfortable. Visitors center don't know what times the tours leave, they just guess. Tours give preference to big groups so if you're not in the group, you could easily be bumped from the tour you paid for or they will squeeze you in the back (smaller seats and open in the back so you can get wet easier. Tour guide isn't all that informative, find more info from a brochure or by googling fun fact on Philly. Lastly city streets are busy and bumpy, one of the most unconformable rides I've paid for. Would not suggest.

This was very upsetting! We spent a lot of money for the tour and expected that we would get a lot of information about the most historic place in the US. The guide mentioned a couple things and I was sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for him to elaborate, but to no avail. This was ridiculous. We spent maybe 5 minutes on the water just so they could say it was a "duck tour." The guide was more into his "Rocky" music than talking about the tour. I am very upset.

While visiting Philly, we decided on the fly to purchase tickets for Ride the Ducks tour. Within thirty minutes, we were loaded onto one of their duck vehicles. We toured the major spots of Philadelphia and our driver "Captain Jim" was very friendly and enthusiastic. He had his spiel down when it came to the history of the sites we saw, but it didn't seem rehearsed. We passed Franklin Square, the Rocky Steps, Independence Hall, The Liberty Bell, Efreth's Alley, Betsy Ross' house. We drove through Chinatown and ended up in the Delaware River. We drove right into the river. We were only on the water for 20 of the 80 minute tour, but I don't regret that because there wasn't a ton to look at on the river. The only complaint is the inevitable traffic causing us to slow down/stop because the vehicle is open air and during those periods, it got a bit warm. Regardless, I'd definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants something a little different. Be sure to look at their Special Offers on the website because you can sometimes get a deal with Ride the Ducks + Adventure Aquarium tickets.

Loved this, our first time on a Duck! Would go again if Steve was the guide. Took this tour today with my Grandson, it was very enjoyable. Steve was funny, educational and entertaining! Great job!

Had a great time on the ducks. First time for me and for some colleagues from overseas. It was a great overview and little informative tour of center city and a nice ride on the Delaware. It gave everyone I good Idea of places in Center City that we may want to visit after the ride. There were some kids, around 8 years old, on the tour who seemed to enjoy it -- younger than that they may be bored. Depends if they like to sight-see and can sit still. I do recommend getting the duck tour tickets part of the Philadelphia Pass -- big savings and then you can do even more stuff once you disembark.
