Nate and I are road adventurers at heart. We travel a lot in numerous vehicles and often discuss trips with kids, so it’s inevitable that we field questions about vehicle safety.

I’ve been craving milk and cookies like crazy this pregnancy.Nothing quite compares to the creamy mouthfeel of a big cup of milk and a freshly-baked cookie to go with it!

When we bought our home in the boondocks, we knew that certain services would be limited. The nearest grocery store’s about half an hour away and cable channels are a no-go unless we want to shell out an absurd amount of money to the monopoly provider in our neighborhood.

Groundhog Day was a fun movie to watch as a kid. The idea that you can do the same day over and over is awesome. Oh, the tricks I would play! Of course, there’s also the possibility of constantly improving myself and becoming a doctor or something. But mostly, tricks.

When you’re as active as our family, navigating health care can be a bit daunting. There’s been more than one occasion when we’ve been on the road and one of the kids has started hacking up their lungs or developed a weird skin thing or a mysterious pain.

I’m not sentimental about much, but hand-me-downs have a weird way of tugging at my heartstrings. We invest in well-made clothing for the boys because it’s fun to see them transition through the same outfits.

We love cooking as a family and getting our kids in the kitchen. I strongly believe that teaching children to cook is one of the best ways to get them engaged in nutrition and ingredient sourcing and ultimately help them lead a healthy life.

The San Diego Zoo is easily among our top ten list of regular outings. We’ve paid for the annual membership for a couple years in a row. It’s an absolute steal if your family wants to get out on a regular basis but do something a bit more educational than some of the theme park options in our area

As we’ve embarked recently on a mission to turn our house into a smart home with all sorts of cool high-tech features, a ton of people have been asking about cable and television services.

People keep asking me to write about about blogging. I have friends still starting blogs left and right and they want to know what their day-to-day should look like in order to succeed.
