Yesterday, the happiest place on earth was not in Disneyland--it was at West Wendover Elementary School. I have never seen so many happy kids in one place! Our goal with every construction project is to make a difference in the community and to improve the quality of life for those we serve--it's never just about the building. Yesterday, our construction team presented to 650 elementary kids, teachers and staff in a special assembly.  We talked about how learning is like constructing a building--starting with building a strong learning foundation (first grade) and building on that each year. We gave red tee shirts with the school logo to every student and staff member at the school. They are so excited about their new shirts and to be in their new school.  (We are just 5 months away from delivering the new elementary school to the community.) Thank you to the School District for this opportunity. Thank you Brenda Carter and Patrick DiSpirito for organizing the assembly. And thanks to all of the kids in West Wendover for your enthusiasm for life and learning.

We attended the 2016 Heritage Awards Banquet last night. This is an annual event through the Utah Heritage Foundation. The University of Utah won an award for the Sterling W. Sill Center addition and renovation. Holding the award is Dr. Martha Bradley-Evans who was instrumental in preserving this building. Next to her is Martha's staff and our construction management team who performed the remodel and addition  Congratulations to all of the award winners. Thank you Martha and Brett Peterson (U of U Project Manager) for a great construction experience and for allowing us to share in this award.
