We've rehung the gallery following the Geoffrey's Key show. New Diane Nevitt's on show as well as some delightful £500 and under works which would make ideal Christmas gifts

Following a bit of a break after working hard on his exhibition "Ardwick Still Life" which took place at Gateway Gallery in September, Steve has been back in the studio making some new work. This painting od St Peter's Square in Manchester is a great example of what he can do!

Well, if there's ever any need for proof that differential pricing exists for the work of one artist "Portrait of an Artist (Pool with Two Figures)" by David Hockney proves the point. Painting sells for $90.3m at auction, breaking record for a living artist https://loom.ly/LlzyH-I. Always buy what you like, but if you can't decide between 2 by the same artist, going for what they are known for might be the best option...

It was lovely to see Geoffrey Key on Thursday at the opening reception of his mini-retrospective - Six Decades of Paintings and Drawings. The show runs until 30th November and is spectacular! Do come and have a look https://loom.ly/0ZGg0Z0

Is it just me or is this bonkers? How can AI produce "ART" - it has nothing of its own to say, no point of view or emotion to express. On the other hand, there are a few actual artists of whom the same might be said. No names, no pack drill. https://loom.ly/eQtbnMM

So, The Turner Prize, "a miserable, tedious, poker-faced display" https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/art/features/turner-prize-2018-shortlist-review-luke-willis-thompson-charlotte-prodger-a8552641.html. I suppose video is visual art but what's the difference between the latest offerings and a documentary short? I wish they's stick to painting, damn site more interesting but it wouldn't get them the same publicity would it?
