Had a great time with my party of four. Our particular server wasn't super charismatic and the menu is definitely confusing if you are a first timer like I was. But otherwise our server definitely knew what he was doing and once we got going on our four course meal, it was smooth sailing. All four of us ate every bite of every course, and with the coupon that we had our meal came out to a little over $100 for all four of us. They were accommodating, my Grandmother is a vegetarian so we got moved to a two burner table so that she didn't have to share pots with our meat-infested entrees. That enabled us to have more options for the fondues, and didn't end up costing us more as they charge by the person, not the pot. The entrees are easy to cook as long as you pay attention to what the server says about cooking time (was 1:30 or 2 minutes for all our food). I can barely make pancakes and it was easy enough that I was able to experiment with cooking times (I got the Land and Sea so had three different meats to experiment with). I notice people mentioning overcooking their food, and I think that would be hard to do to be honest. And the chocolate fondues were to DIE for. Seriously. Was really tempted to get another plate of stuff to dip in them. All of the serving sizes are small, but if you get a four course meal then you won't be leaving hungry, but I can see how you would be if you just got an entree. All in all, it definitely is expensive. But if you have saved up for a really nice meal, I would definitely recommend The Melting Pot.

My party of 10 recently visited the melting pot this last weekend. There was a confusion with using our Groupon and our seating arrangement. The manager and the front desk host and hostess were incredibly hospitable. They accommodated us at 5:00 on a busy Saturday evening. I was very impressed with their flexibility and generosity. Our waiter Gavin was wonderful. He went out of his way to help everyone at our table feel informed as they placed an educated order. Gavin was very patient with my grandmother and helped my family feel at ease. I know the other half of our party enjoyed a similar experience, with a different waiter. We will definitely recommend this experience to anyone we know and have already raved about the food , the fun and the environment on social media. Your staff did not have to go out of their way to give the amazing service that they did. I was overly impressed and grateful for the positive dining experience in Spokane. Groupon brought us to your restaurant, but the dedication of your team will bring us back!

My wife and I arrived without reservations and were promptly seated even though they looked very busy. I have to say this was one of the best places we have eaten at in Spokane. Everything from the kind waiter, to the ambiance, service, food and even the clean bathrooms were 5 star. When you come here expect to spend time with the people you are with... this is more like European style eating where you have multiple courses and plenty of time to enjoy it. You don't feel rushed and that is hard to find these days. You can tell they really think about the entire process from start to finish and aren't just serving a meal but an experience too. Plus who doesn't like cheese and chocolate?!? We will be doing our date nights at the Melting Pot as often as possible.

Made reservations for Valentines Day over the phone and was told that it was going to cost $55 a person. After we were finished eating I got the bill and it was $75 per person. I went in expecting to spend no more than $150 but ended up paying $220. The service and food wasn't bad, but definitely not worth more than $200 for 2 people. I will not be going back anytime in the near future.

I despise giving bad reviews and would never if I didn't feel it was well deserved. I honestly do not see how this place stays in business. The only thing that was good were the desserts. This place IS NOT child friendly even though they said it was when I called and asked (which I do with all new places I try) You basically cook all your own food, so it costs $9.99 for a child to get four cubes of raw chicken.... really? They place a plate of raw chicken in front of a 1 & 3 year old. I could have done this at home without the risk of . Our waitress was friendly, but would vanish into this giant place without a trace for 30 minutes at a time. They didn't go over dips and just placed all this raw food down and left. It was tasteless and we overcooked everything, even the lobster. My bill for my husband and 2 small children was well over $100.00 and we shared a dinner and left hungry and grumpy I had 2 pieces of meat. It took almost 3 hours once we sat down. Some advice for the melting pot: Cook the children's food or lower your prices, & LOWER your prices, it is simply not worth what you pay. I would give it one star but I am too nice for that.

WAY to expensive for WAY too little. Wait staff was all polite for the most part. I don't want to go out n pay $35 to BOIL my dinner myself! Don't do it, save your $$ go anywhere else downtown for that price.

Very nice, romantic atmosphere, definitely place to go for special occasions. Good, attentive staff, good food, need about 2.5 hours total to go through all the courses. Manager even comes by to greet you at some point which is a nice touch. Been here about 5 times over past couple of years and always a nice experience. It is pricey and most would probably say too pricey but if you look at it as the whole experience with the isolated booths, personal service and 3-4 course meal for 2.5 hours, then it is not really that bad
