A group of 4 of us went in for dinner for a member of the groups birthday. When the reservation was made, I was asked if we would like a special bottle of wine, which I declined but did ask that a bottle of Corona be on our table for the birthday boy. I was told it was not a problem and the beer would be at our table upon arrival. When we arrived there was no beer. After we were sat, we waiting 15 minutes for our server Lonnie to arrive at the table. He then told myself, who made the reservation "Happy Birthday". I told him it wasn't my birthday but did tell him who's birthday it was and he didn't even wish him a Happy Birthday. He was very unfriendly and should not be working in customer service. There were only about 6 tables in the entire restaurant occupied so I couldn't understand what took so long. We didn't even have water! Tables were sat around us after we arrived with different servers and were receiving excellent service. After our server showed up and answered our questions regarding the menu, he quickly sped off without taking our drink order to get waters even after we told him we were ready to order drinks. He said he would take our drink order after he came back with waters. Water took forever and after we finally ordered 4 bottled beers. He came back to take our food order and didn't bring our drinks. We asked him and got a rude remark that he "wasn't the one making them". I am an easy person to please and we had been there for 40 MINUTES and still hadn't even had our bottled beers yet. How long could that possibly take?! Tables that were sat after us were finishing their first cheese course before we even had drinks! After each course was finished, we sat with an empty dish for about 10-15 minutes each time and had to get up to find our waiter 3 times to ask for another round of drinks, more sauce, etc... I don't think he visited our table a single time to check on us. After the 2.5 HOUR experience was over, we had to track him down and ask to pay before our check even came to the table. He then took 20 minutes to run our credit card and when we asked him what took so long he unapologetically claimed he was "busy". I have been to this establishment several times and have received excellent service but this was awful and totally ruined a birthday night out with friends. I left a $0 for the first time in my entire life. For a $250 meal, I would expect better service.

If you are into bad food, stressful situations and cooking by yourself, then this is the place for you! Not only can you get 1/4 stick of celery for 9 dollars per person, but you an get a 4 course awful tasting meal for 60 dollars per person. At the end it was only 100,000 dollars for a bowl of raw vegetables. In all seriousness this was the worst meal of my life. Hot. Pot. Hell. RUN!

Service was good....but its stupid expensive for portion size. My friend and I ate there, spent 60$ and left hungry. PORTION SIZE is stupid small. Our first course was a "double" portion. We got to baby carrots, 1/2 an apple, some bread, and about 1/4 of a celery stick.

My absolute favorite restaurant ever. Worth the 3 and half hour drive just to come here.

We were a party of 6 and none of us were happy with our experience. It took 3 hours and 20 minutes to complete dinner. After each course our dirty dishes would sit on the table for 20 to 30 minutes prior to being cleaned up. The drinks we ordered sat somewhere so long that the ice was melted. My son and his wife ordered a glass of wine at the end of their main course and it came after we were all finished with desert. The food was bland, at best. It was not presented well and it appeared as if it could have been someone's left overs. Our bill was just over $500 including the mandatory 18% tip. This was not money well spent. We will never risk going there again nor will I ever recommend the Melting Pot to any of my friends.

Made reservations for Valentines Day over the phone and was told that it was going to cost $55 a person. After we were finished eating I got the bill and it was $75 per person. I went in expecting to spend no more than $150 but ended up paying $220. The service and food wasn't bad, but definitely not worth more than $200 for 2 people. I will not be going back anytime in the near future.

Had a great time with my party of four. Our particular server wasn't super charismatic and the menu is definitely confusing if you are a first timer like I was. But otherwise our server definitely knew what he was doing and once we got going on our four course meal, it was smooth sailing. All four of us ate every bite of every course, and with the coupon that we had our meal came out to a little over $100 for all four of us. They were accommodating, my Grandmother is a vegetarian so we got moved to a two burner table so that she didn't have to share pots with our meat-infested entrees. That enabled us to have more options for the fondues, and didn't end up costing us more as they charge by the person, not the pot. The entrees are easy to cook as long as you pay attention to what the server says about cooking time (was 1:30 or 2 minutes for all our food). I can barely make pancakes and it was easy enough that I was able to experiment with cooking times (I got the Land and Sea so had three different meats to experiment with). I notice people mentioning overcooking their food, and I think that would be hard to do to be honest. And the chocolate fondues were to DIE for. Seriously. Was really tempted to get another plate of stuff to dip in them. All of the serving sizes are small, but if you get a four course meal then you won't be leaving hungry, but I can see how you would be if you just got an entree. All in all, it definitely is expensive. But if you have saved up for a really nice meal, I would definitely recommend The Melting Pot.
