Something about this song...just fills me with joy, a deep profound joy.

To all my chronic pain sufferers; be it physical or mental or emotional, we shall overcome someday.

Hugs to all of you.

RIP to the best Uncle I ever knew, Nicanor. He lost his battle to Liver Cancer last night. He fought bravely. he fought faithfully he fought honorably as well as lived his life in the same manner. I ask that everyone say a prayer for his family and our todays because it is a day of deep mourning.

He was such a wonderful guy. He always would hug and kiss ya.

He once famously said to me in his heavy spanish accent, "Wah yu don speak english , yu no speak spanish, i don't under a word you're saying!"

He was always a clown and a true practical joker. Simply the best Uncle I ever had all because i took a chance on a young Puerto Rican girl and not only dated her but I ended up dating her whole family. And oh they loved me too, so sweetly they did and Nic was no exception. I love you Nic. See you in paradise.

From "Paradise Lost"

"Innumerable force of Spirits armed,
That durst dislike his reign, and, me preferring,
His utmost power with adverse power opposed
In dubious battle on the plains of Heaven
And shook his throne. What though the field be lost?
All is not lost—the unconquerable will,
And study of revenge, immortal hate,
And courage never to submit or yield:
And what is else not to be overcome?

You overcame everything Nick.Your Courage to never submit to illness. You lived and died on your own terms. We love you and look forward to being reunited when the last enemy, death, is also something you shall overcome.

But for now, "We Shall Overcome" your loss. Someday.
