Meet our vet at Champion Vets Paisley - Martin Liddell MRCVS. Martin has worked in a senior role at the PDSA in Glasgow for over 20 years before we were lucky enough to recruit him. Since PDSA vets are generally unable to refer to specialists due to cost, they develop a very high level of medical and surgical skill, because all types of conditions are treated "in house". Martin is an excellent surgeon and this means at Champion Vets Paisley we are able to provide exceptional care for cases requiring either soft tissue or orthopaedic (bones and joints) surgery. This can often be done considerably cheaper than referral and at shorter notice which is particularly relevant in an emergency when suffering is involved. We would be delighted for you to contact us at the Paisley surgery on 0141 889 7638 should you have any questions or would like to make an appointment. http://ow.ly/7ZPp301uDvg

Thought we'd like to share these x-ray pictures with you. These are of "Morse" a beautiful 7 month old kitten who unfortunately had an accident causing a serious and painful fracture of his right foreleg - shown in the first picture. When Morse came to our clinic we referred him to our Paisley vet Martin, who is a highly experienced and gifted surgeon, with over 20 years in the Glasgow PDSA repairing broken bones before he came to Champion Vets. Martin repaired the leg using a complicated set of bars, pins and bolts called an external fixator - seen in the second picture - and at the four week follow-up Morse is doing very well! Martin is a great asset to our team and allows us to expand the range of surgeries we can do without having to refer to specialists which can often cost owners thousands of pounds. Martin is happy to see cases from any of the Champion Vets practices or other practices and offer economical solutions to non-insured cases. http://ow.ly/i/ksyEw

Handsome retired bay polo pony mare free as companion to good home with other horses. Owned by vet. Ridden until recently. In excellent health and sound. 15.2HH. Lives out all year round and sociable around other horses and goats! 24 years old - looks about 15! No vices. Shy to catch but caught with a bucket of feed. Will not hack out and not strictly not for polo any more but would be an easily- kept and friendly field companion for a lonely equine friend. Please share with anyone who might be interested and please message for further information. http://ow.ly/i/j0Oqn
