Thank you, sir! The gentleman that let me photograph his Cord didn't have to let me in his car. You had to be hard pressed to find any flaws in his car!

The "Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art" (JSMA) is in Eugene, Oregon...right on the University of Oregon campus! The museum basically features Northwest and Asian art. I don't know any other way to say this, other than it rivals many so-called "big time museums". It's not the biggest museum in the world. Yet, it is not all that small. It is a remarkable place to visit...especially set on a college campus! The U of O should be very proud! This is a photo of "A Secret Best Kept", Oil on Canvas by Mike Davis! Introduction

I live in Newport on the Central Oregon Coast…a photographer’s dream!

I actually got involved with photography back in the 1950’s when I was in the Marine Corps. The days of film cameras and, yes, black and white.

Started with a Kodak Brownie and slowly graduated to a Ricoh 35mm camera. After the service, I purchased a 35mm Pentax Honeywell (which I still have).

In the 1980’s I finally moved up to a Nikon 35mm (I still have it). And, then it was time to start getting serious about my photography.

In the nineties I purchased my first digital camera…an Olympus 3 or 4 MP camera (still have it). It is was built like a tank. A point and shoot but, has a view finder and built in retractable lens cover.

Now days, I use a variety of cameras in my photography with a Pentax K5 lls DSLR being my main camera.

My portfolio varies immensely. I use mostly color and I like to add textures to my photos in post production, giving them more of a painted look.

Winner of the 2013 Oregon City Photography Contest. My “McLoughlin Promenade” photo is on display at the Clackamas County Historical Museum

Another award is “Americana” which is the National Springbok’s Puzzle Contest winner for 2014 out of 3,400 submissions

Education: Lewis and Clark College and Newspace School of Photography

First, the food & view was wonderful.....end of the good things. All I could think of while I was in there was "LA Story" starring Steve Martin, " You can only afford to have the chicken"! It's expensive, folks! Once our waitress found out we were not going to have cocktails or appetizers, we were on our own like second class citizens. Valet parking? Wow! Come on! It will be awhile before I go back. It's a rip!
