Google > Marco Rubio
Marco Rubio drops some science....

How about this for a rule: If the Bing/Google can answer a question without you having to click, it should be beyond debate.

I know it is controversial to give that much power to an algorithm, but how is it possible for a University of Florida and University of Miami Law School graduate to say that the age of planet earth is one of the great mysteries?

Senator Rubio is charming, he seems intelligent, he has a bright future in the GOP.  But if this election has taught us anything, for a bright person like him to solve for a tiny small esoteric fringe of the Republican party loyalists is not a way to win elections.

Here's his complete answer to the question how old do you think the Earth is?

Marco Rubio: I'm not a scientist, man. I can tell you what recorded history says, I can tell you what the Bible says, but I think that's a dispute amongst theologians and I think it has nothing to do with the gross domestic product or economic growth of the United States. I think the age of the universe has zero to do with how our economy is going to grow. I'm not a scientist. I don't think I'm qualified to answer a question like that. At the end of the day, I think there are multiple theories out there on how the universe was created and I think this is a country where people should have the opportunity to teach them all. I think parents should be able to teach their kids what their faith says, what science says. Whether the Earth was created in 7 days, or 7 actual eras, I'm not sure we'll ever be able to answer that. It's one of the great mysteries.

Crazy.  Ultimately, this is a mess of Google's own making and further distorts the reliability of the linkgraph #seo
Paddy Moogan sent 122 emails to bloggers asking to guest post. He never mentioned - or offered - money in his emails. Of those that replied, 49% said they wanted to charge for a link, at an average price of $285.

Barack Obama may have comfortably won re-election in the electoral college, and squeaked a victory in the popular vote. But here is the absolute, undoubted winner of this election: Nate Silver and big data.

This year, according to all projections, Silver’s model has correctly predicted 50 out of 50 states. A last-minute flip for Florida, which finally went blue in Silver’s prediction on Monday night, helped him to a perfect game.

Are you wowed by Nate Silver? #Election2012 #Obama
