This is too funny.  I've been dealing with FreeNAS issues this morning and found a new project, NAS4Free.  They had linked this video from their FAQ page.

Yep. It's "halftime in America". The way Clint SHOULD have done it...

Well it's Saturday.... er... Sunday so I must be in Malaysia again. I should pay attention to the stock market while I'm over here -- I'll make a killing because I'll find out what the market does a day before you people!

HP does it again.

The company has a talent for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. They "saved" WebOS from certain doom in the incompetent hands of Palm Inc. only to shutter it less than a year later.

Way to go, HP.

This HPQ brain fart is probably one for the ages. Jobs' liver must be toast from all the champagne. Finish the poor guy off with laughter!

Mrs. Boss (Cathy) asked me for a better Skype picture. She wanted one with a smile so I used my new mac to oblige her. I think it captures my true essence!

I stopped by the Apple store to leave a little drool on the new Macbook Air with Sandy Bridge goodness{tm}. Simply awesome! They even brought back the disco lights under the keyboard. I know it sounds like a damn Apple ad, but it's so CUTE. Gotta have one.

I built a new DVR this weekend for a friend. I used a little AMD motherboard and LinHES, the best MythTv/Linux distribution. It went together perfectly and played pretty much out of the box. This has gotten so much easier since my first DVR built with KnoppMyth just a few years ago. Long live over-the-air TV! Down with cable!

And if you think the colors are a little off... you're probably right. Test your own "color IQ" from this test by Xrite -- the color calibration company. It's a fun test. I scored a "7" on my un-calibrated Macbook Air. I'll have to see if I can improve it after I calibrate it.

In Kuala Lumpur they have a train that takes you from the airport to KL Central station. It features free internet for passengers! How cool is that? It sometimes amazes me how behind the curve we are in the U.S.

Seems like a good time to visit Malaysia.... Doesn't it? I think I'll spend some quality time in Kuala Lumpur in a nice air-conditioned test floor...

I dunno if you want to Cecil. It's gonna be hot and sticky. They said "bring an umbrella" which is not what you want to hear when heading to a place where the temps are in the high 80's and low 90's!

Making the world a safer place for software
Introduction
I have a mission to change the way data services are delivered.  An "open access" gigabit network could be the next utility -- a data service that lowers costs for all providers and consumers and stimulates a competitive market for companies to actually compete for customers.

Oh, and I love dogs and writing software, too!
