For our final project, these are the suggested areas to be expanded upon in the written portion, which will compliment the media project that each of you will present next Thursday:

Description of Project (1-2 sentences)
Rationale (2 paragraphs or more)-this can also connect back to readings
Challenges

Brief:
Tools/Resources needed
Skills developed through project (think technical and within the context of literacy)
Application to the classroom- how will it/can it be used? Provide context

Please upload project and reflection to your blog and then post here.

In preparation for Alex Thomas's digital storytelling workshop, we are to adhere to her "marching orders."  You ready?

1. Find a digital media piece that tells a story. (if it is a recording, it should be under 7 minutes). Send the link to dat2134@tc.edu by Wednesday PM.

2. Do 3 or 4 thirty-second recorded clips from their daily life (for example: their commute, making breakfast, jogging, etc). This recording can be on their phones or digital cameras and should be emailed to themselves so that it can be easily accessed and downloaded.

3. Take at least 20 photos over the course of the next week. These can be of anything- sights they see on their way to school, photos of their food, screenshots of hilarious text messages- whatever. At least 20. These photos should also be accessible via email.

Here is the link to the powerpoint of Brad Ashley's phenomenal workshop on helpful teaching tools for the classroom.  Also, here is the link for the Livebinder that he referenced in class, chock full of helpful resources and "cheat sheets."  tinyurl.com/LabMrAshley
